Grandpa Hudson's Saddle

This is about a man I never knew, I have never met my grandpa or my great grandpa. Rarely have I ever have seen a picture of them as well. They are my dads side and he hardly will talk about his past including the people who were in it. The bits and pieces that I know, is that my great grandpa had a farm and rode horses. Robert Earl Hudson was my grandpas name.

I have a saddle that my dad gave me, It had a name plate on the back that said Robert Earl Hudson. I didn`t know if this was my grandpas saddle or great grandfather's saddle. I never asked, but I seen a photo of my grandpa for the very first time. Standing by a mule, with his saddle that now belongs to me. I asked my dads brother Randy if he had more pictures of my grandpa. He sent me another picture of my grandpa with the same saddle and he is holding a bit. The bit I also still have and use to this day. It is very interesting experience to me to see pictures of my grandpa and to see we had things in common. I hope to teach my kids someday the importance of our relatives and to keep this saddle and bit in my family.
