Wild Stallion

Roping Cochise was a challenge, he did not like the feel of the rope on his neck. He bucked, reared and galloped after the rope went around his neck. More panic and the fear of the unknown after he realized the rope did not hurt him. I was super hesitant about roping Cochise, I have tired all sorts of different styles of getting him to come to me but none seemed to keep him around long enough to teach him I'm not a threat. So, I broke down and roped him and yes his response to being roped was explosive, after he clamed down. I was able to get him to walk in small circles around me. When he stopped, I would inch my way closer to him. He stayed calm and seemed okay with this method. He is super stubborn and doesn't want to give in. Im excited to see where our nexts steps go!
